Mirror mirror at the wall2007/Week 9 ![]() The children love the reflecting window of my motorcycle helmet. From all sides noses, mouths, teeth and ears are being inspected. I just put it on to ride from baobab to crocodile pond (and to arrive home safily).
The one and only Issi2007/Week 8 ![]() Last year, Bibir gave a mill to a women group in Soulou. As they were experiencing some bookkeeping problems, we went to 'recycle' their training last week. Three out of the thirty women can read and write, but only one is natural at it. The ministering angel was Issi, a man out of the village not belonging to the group, but assisting the women to write and count with a lot of love. Issi is the opposite of the cliché of a (Burkinese?) man who prefers his wife at home cooking and taking care of the children.
Sunbathing2007/Week 7 ![]() White tourists are not alone to adore the sun. The less water in the lakes, the more visible the crocodiles become.
